Milena Govich

 Milena Govich is a Serbian actress, director , and singer was born on on October 29th, 1976. She is well-known for her part in the role of NYPD Detective Nina Cassady in Law & Order.



 



 Early life and education



 Govich was born in Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma. The late Dr. Bruce Michael Govich (who died in 1998) and Dr. Marilyn Green Govich [2was a professor of music. Marilyn teaches voice at University of Central Oklahoma, while Bruce was employed at University of Oklahoma. Her mother is English and Scottish, and her father is Serbian. Milica Govich, her aunt, is also an actress and has appeared on Broadway as well as television and in films.



 



 Milena was class valedictorian at Norman High School in 1995. She followed her academic parents to graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma, once again graduating valedictorian with the double degree of performance as well as pre-medical studies, and minors in dance and violin. Govich moved to New York City after graduation to pursue a acting career.
